History and contributors

We started in 2009 to define and then implement this service for the community during the developement of SPHERE (data processing center) and the construction of the GTO observation by the consortium (first version of the data base at LAM). Some members of our team were also strongly involved in the instruments and in the exchanges with ESO and the team in charge of developing the DRS pipeline for ESO. The two developments were then joined in a common service in 2016. Many colleagues outside the team also contributed to the developement of our service and we wish to acknowledge their support: Dino Mesa, Raffaele Gratton, A. Vigan (IFS pipeline), Anne-Lise Maire (astrometric calibration), A. Vigan (LSS), Jean-Luc Beuzit, Anne-Marie Lagrange, Gaël Chauvin, Anthony Boccaletti (recommandations during the construction of the service). Some algorithms are based on published work (see list here)

Later-on, the DIVA project, aiming at giving public access to homogeneous surveys, was initiated by Gaël Chauvin, Arthur Vigan, Claire Moutou and Mariangela Bonavita, with the technical support of Jean-Charles Meunier: we are extremely grateful to Beth Biller, Gaël Chauvin, Stephen Durkan, Raphaël Galicher, Ari Heinze, Markus Kasper, David Lafrenière, Elena Masciadri, Tiffany Meshkat, Julien Rameau, Inseok Song and Arthur Vigan for sharing their processed survey data and we welcome any new survey.

If you also wish to contribute, either with reducting or analysis tools or with a survey, please contact us!
